Privacy & Your Data
Last updated: 10 June 2026
Alignix is built to respect your privacy. This page explains what we do with your data, why we do it, and the rights you have.
Who we are
Alignix is a service provided by Alignix Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@alignix.co.uk. Our registered office is 71 to 75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
Your CV and job descriptions
When you use the tool, your CV and the job description you provide are processed only to generate your analysis. To do that, they are sent securely to a third-party AI provider, which processes them to produce your results and does not use them to train AI models. We do not store your CV, save it to any database, or keep it in any logs. Once your analysis is generated, the content is discarded.
Our lawful basis is your consent: you choose to submit your CV and a job description to receive an analysis. Please avoid pasting sensitive personal details you would not want processed, such as health information, as the tool does not need them.
Because our AI provider operates outside the UK, your data may be processed in another country. Where that happens, it is protected by appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law.
Career Roadmap details
When you use the Career Roadmap, we also collect the career details you provide through the form, including your job title, years of experience, sector, career goals, optional salary bands, and your career question. The CV upload remains optional and is handled as already described.
We use these details to generate your Career Roadmap report and, in anonymised and aggregated form using fixed categories, to produce labour market statistics. Aggregated statistics are never linked to your email address or CV content.
The analysis itself
Your match score, gaps and suggestions are generated automatically by AI. They are intended as guidance to help you, not as a formal decision made about you, and you are free to act on them or not.
Your email
To run a report, we ask for your email address. We use it to send you the free 90-Day Career Action Plan and your welcome email. If you also tick the optional updates box, we will send you occasional career intelligence and updates about Alignix; if you leave it unticked, we will not send you marketing. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit your email, and we keep a record of whether you ticked the updates box.
We manage our mailing list through a third-party email platform (Beehiiv), where your email is stored securely. Beehiiv may process your data outside the UK, again under appropriate safeguards. We will never sell or share your email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, which withdraws your consent, and you can ask us to delete your email by contacting us. We keep your email only until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
Next Move Alerts
When you join Next Move Alerts, we collect the details you give us, including your email address, the role types you're interested in, your career stage, and optional location, work pattern and salary band preferences.
We use these details to send you the fortnightly role alerts you asked for and to choose which roles to include. These preferences are linked to your email address so your alerts stay relevant. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending them.
Career Vault
We also collect information you save in Career Vault if you create an account, including career evidence entries, challenge progress, portfolio details such as certifications, CPD records, skills and career goals, appraisal preparation inputs, and your membership status.
We use this information to provide the Career Vault features you use, such as storing your evidence and portfolio and generating your appraisal preparation. Your Career Vault content is private to your account and we do not share it with employers or anyone else unless you explicitly ask us to.
Talent Pool
We also collect details you provide for your Talent Pool profile, including your role, preferences, availability, skills, certifications, training, qualifications and career summary.
If you join the Talent Pool, we use these details to show an anonymised version of your profile to approved employers looking for project, PMO, engineering and technical delivery candidates. Your name and contact details are never shown. If an employer is interested, we contact you first and only make an introduction if you agree. You can leave the Talent Pool anytime from your profile, which removes you from employer visibility immediately.
Anonymous statistics
We keep anonymous statistics about the reports our tool generates, such as the types of skills gaps found, recommended certifications, match score ranges, salary bands and, if you choose to share it, your region. We use these to understand the UK engineering and project job market and to publish aggregated insights. These statistics are never linked to you, your CV, your email or anything that could identify you, and your CV and job description are still discarded after your analysis is generated.
Payments
If you choose to unlock the Full Report, your payment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy and may process it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. We do not keep a record that links your payment to your identity; Stripe handles your receipt.
Links to other sites
Our reports may include links to third-party sites, such as training course providers. Some of these are affiliate links, which means Alignix may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
Keeping the service secure
To protect the service from abuse, we apply temporary technical limits using a hashed, non-identifiable form of your network address. These records are kept for no more than 48 hours and are never linked to you, your report or your email.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics. Our site and hosting may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies needed to make it work and keep it secure. These do not require your consent under UK law, so we do not show a cookie banner.
No account needed
You do not need to create an account to use the tool.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it, and you can ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To do any of these, just get in touch at info@alignix.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Questions
If you have any questions about how your data is handled, contact us at info@alignix.co.uk.
