What your learners see, in the order they see it

A scrollable walkthrough of every screen in the Pathways learner dashboard, in the sidebar order a learner works through them. One sample learner throughout.

This is a demonstration using sample data. Learners access these tools live, delivered as a managed cohort.
01

Why it matters

My roadmap

The learner lands on a This week panel that says where they are in the four weeks, what this week is for, and what is still outstanding on the sign-off checklist. Every date comes from their cohort. Underneath it, progression is grounded in published Skills England occupational maps and live UK vacancy data, and roadmaps are withheld for roles outside coverage rather than guessed.

Your roadmap · Level 3 Business Administration

From admin support to project support, with two gaps to close

Progression is built from published Skills England occupational maps. Salary figures come from live UK vacancy data, never invented.

This week

Week 2 of 4 · Progression · ends 15 Jun

This week: applying, tailoring and preparing for interviews.

Sign-off checklist

3 of 5 done
  • Complete your roadmap
  • Complete 2 work simulations
  • Add 3 pieces of evidence
  • Submit 5 job applications
  • Publish your employer profile
Once the four weeks finish, this panel shows both check in dates, so nobody is surprised by the week 4 and week 12 emails.

Every date is derived from the learner's cohort, never hardcoded. On a cohort that has not started, the panel says when it begins.

The gap to close

No named project methodology and no documented risk or issue handling. Both are asked for in most live adverts for the target roles above.

Where a learner's target roles sit outside the supported occupational maps, the roadmap is withheld rather than guessed, and Job matches becomes their landing screen.

02

Why it matters

Work simulations

Learners work through realistic situations from the template library, or ones written around your own course material. Scoring is developmental with unlimited retries, and the latest attempt flows into the evidence portfolio automatically, so nobody on your team has to author or mark anything.

Learner view · Northgate Skills Academy

Work simulations

Practise the situations the job actually throws at you

Each simulation gives a realistic situation and asks the learner to write how they would handle it. Feedback is written against five criteria shown before they start. Retries are unlimited, and the latest attempt is the one that counts as evidence.

Understanding the situation

4 of 5

You spotted that the delivery date, not the supplier relationship, was the real risk.

Judgement and priorities

4 of 5

Escalating before the team lost a day was the right call.

Communication

The email is clear, but the ask at the end could be one sentence and a date.

Why it matters

Evidence portfolio

Simulation attempts and signed off coursework build one documented evidence trail per learner, ready for funder reporting and for sharing with employers.

Proof an employer can see

Each verified item has been signed off by an assessor. Self completed items count too, but employers weight verified evidence highest.

Why it matters

Course tasks

Milestone coursework still runs alongside the simulations, signed off by your assessor. This is where provider verification enters the record. Most providers set none, so this appears in the learner menu only when the pathway actually has course tasks on it.

Why it matters

CV and interview

Verified evidence is reframed into CV bullets, a STAR answer and a course explanation, so learners can talk about what they actually did.

CV & interview

Turn your evidence into application language

Verified evidence and the roadmap are reframed into CV bullets, a STAR interview answer, and a short way to explain the course.

CV bullets

  • Chaired weekly supplier update meetings for a team of nine, circulating actions within 24 hours.
  • Maintained a risk and issue log across two workstreams, escalating three issues before they hit delivery dates.
  • Mapped the onboarding process and proposed three improvements, two adopted by the operations lead.

STAR interview answer

Situation. A supplier missed a delivery date during the June review. Task. I owned the issue log and had to keep the workstream on track. Action. I logged the issue with an owner and mitigation, brought it to the update meeting, and agreed a revised date in writing. Result. The workstream finished two days late rather than two weeks, and the log is now used across the team.

Explaining your course

I completed a Level 3 Business Administration programme with Northgate Skills Academy, working towards project support. Alongside it I built a portfolio of assessor verified work covering stakeholder updates, risk and issue logging, and process improvement.
